Trevor's Success Story

Trevor is a great addition to our community of residents.  While his adult years have thrown him some curveballs, like the diagnosis of a degenerative and uncurable neurological disorder, he hasn’t let it slow him down.

Community Spotlight

The Edible Prairie Project spent some time helping residents at the Council and members of the YES House Transitional Living Program plant garden boxes!  A full array of veggies were planted and residents are excited to tend them this summer. Materials were donated by Landon's Greenhouse.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry has seen many changes in the last year.  Most importantly clients are now able to pick out the food that is most helpful to them each month.  Using a point system, based on how many members are in the household, clients can treat the Food Pantry like a grocery store.  This allows clients the freedom to pick food that works for them.  Whether it's accommodating dietary restrictions or just picky eaters at home, less food goes to waste and clients can make their grocery budget stretch further.

There were many pieces that had to be organized before this could become a reality however.  The shelving and storage of food needed revamped (generously undertaken by Security State Bank) and the pantry layout needed to accommodate clients of all mobility levels.  This last week the final piece has fallen into place with a new freezer that allows easier access.  The new freezer was made possible with a grant from Starbucks and the Wyoming Food Bank.  Installation was taken care of by our friendly neighbors at the Campbell County Fire Department.

How You're Helping

Meet Ame...

I am one of the newest members of the team, but already I love being able to help people better themselves and watch them grow. Originally from Cody, Wyoming I am excited about my new community and am dedicated to help improve the lives of our community members and their families. Outside of work I enjoy time with my boys, my dog Molly (a Boxer Husky mix), reading, and riding my Harley.
