As we approach the holiday season and our End-of-Year Giving Campaign, we are truly humbled. This year brought deep funding cuts to programs that sustain our homeless and hunger initiatives, and when they began in February, we weren’t sure how we could continue serving our most vulnerable neighbors.

But you stepped up. Thanks to your support, we’ve continued serving our community despite nearly half a million dollars in lost funding. As we launch the 2025 campaign, we are deeply grateful for all you’ve done to help your friends and neighbors.

Our goal this year is $85,000 by December 31. These cuts are permanent, and we rely on donations from generous supporters like you to keep our programs running.

From now until December 31, you can be part of something bigger. Join us in helping families, seniors, and neighbors in Campbell County.

Making a donation is easy and flexible. You can donate online or via check to the Council of Community Services (114 S 4-J Road, Gillette, WY 82716).

As a reminder, 100% of all donations we receive stay right here in Campbell County. Know that your contribution will help your struggling neighbors, friends, and community members that you may see every day.
A Word from Our Director
“The Council of Community Services will have to rely a lot more heavily on the community in the coming years,” said Mikel Scott, CCS executive director.

“I think of it as, when you have a little extra to give, give, and when you need a little extra, you can come see us. We’re here for the community. We want it to be like neighbors helping neighbors, so everything we do stays super local in Campbell County.”
The need for services is growing, and CCS is committed to meeting that need. Here’s a snapshot of the current situation in Campbell County:

-
36% increase in people experiencing homelessness in 2024, including a 35% increase in the number of children staying in our shelter.
-
18% increase in the number of senior citizens relying on our food pantry and soup kitchens.
-
10% increase in the number of children needing food assistance through our hunger initiative programs.
-
48% increase in the number of community members needing emergency medical and weatherization assistance.
These numbers reflect the growing demand for support in our community. Your donation can help meet these needs.
