Support Council of Community Services this WyoGives
This WyoGives, Council of Community Services is aiming to raise $55,000 to support our homelessness and housing programs, including the staff and services that help keep our neighbors safe.
Every day, local individuals and families come to the Council during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Some are facing homelessness for the first time. Some are leaving unsafe situations. Some are veterans, seniors, parents, or children who need a safe place to stay and someone to help them take the next step forward.
Your gift helps make that possible.
Your Gift Can Go Even Further
Thanks to generous support from local partners and friends of the Council, $21,500 in matching funds has already been committed for WyoGives.
That includes:
$2,000 from Trends Furniture
$7,500 from Friends of the Council
$12,000 from Wells Fargo
These matching gifts bring us more than a third of the way toward our $55,000 WyoGives goal and create an important opportunity for donors to stretch their impact.
If you have been thinking about giving, continuing your support, or coming back to support the Council again, WyoGives is a powerful time to do it. Your donation helps unlock matching funds and keeps local support available for neighbors in crisis.
It takes approximately $500,000 each year to keep our shelter doors open to people in crisis, people in need, and people in danger.
Operating a shelter takes more than a building. It takes trained staff, case management, basic supplies, utilities, maintenance, coordination with local agencies, and the ability to respond when someone comes to us with nowhere else to go.
Our shelter is staffed 24/7 by a team of 8 people who help keep the facility safe, welcoming, and ready for neighbors in crisis. Beyond providing a place to sleep, staff help guests access case management, local resources, and the support they need to begin moving forward.
